HDFC Bank Mobile Banking Registration

HDFC bank has finally started accepting online applications for new accounts and mobile banking registrations. However, the bank has asked applicants to wait for 4-5 days. To start with, HDFC bank has registered 20000 people through new online registration. If you are not an existing customer of HDFC bank and still want to be enrolled, you can apply online. To register yourself you have to visit a website from where you will have to click on ‘myAadhaar’.
You will be directed to the Aadhaar registration application. Once the registration is done, you will be shown an OTP. You need to enter this OTP to complete the registration.
Now, you will have to click on ‘send OTP’ to the Aadhaar number that was registered in your application. This will generate your online password and you will have to click ‘check password’. Now you need to login to your account in HDFC bank account. Once you are logged in, you need to log in to ‘Mobile Banking/ internet Banking’ on your phone and click on ‘password’ tab. In mobile banking you can check your pending transactions and deposit money using Mobile Wallet. You can also send money from your phone by using a Cash Request message.
These can be sent from a registered mobile number, which can only be a registered bank account. Following this, you will have to enter your Aadhaar number and submit your application and create a unique PIN. You will have to generate an OTP and the bank account that will be used as a sender would be of your current account.
You need to submit this OTP to make the payment. The bank is also asking for self-declaration for mobile banking services, for security purpose. Before making a payment, you need to remember the OTP and confirm your identity.
HDFC bank will ask you to submit additional details like the ID card number, address and other Aadhaar details while creating a mobile banking account. You have to give details of your email ID and mobile number. Once your registration is done and you are selected, your account will be opened in 3-4 days.
Once you are enrolled and receive a message to this effect, you will get an SMS stating your Aadhaar number and a link that will direct you to a login page. Once you log in, you will have to click on ‘New’ on the left menu, and choose your password. After that you will have to enter your 16-digit Aadhaar number and the OTP sent to your registered mobile number. Finally, you will have to enter your PIN and click ‘Submit’.
HDFC bank will then validate your Aadhaar number and access it with the AADHAAR linkage by sending you a SMS message. Now, you will be able to make payments on your mobile account using Aadhaar linked bank accounts.
For now, HDFC bank is the first bank to start accepting mobile banking registrations and the website will continue to take applications until Wednesday. But, this facility is only available for the existing customers.

SBI bank offers mobile app for payments using mobile wallets, savings and current accounts. You can also use it for to book an cab through Ola and Uber. You can also use it for making payments to merchants like stores, canteens, restaurants, dry cleaners, and more.
